Last night at CVS I got all this for free! If you pay attention, it is easy to get free personal care products utilizing the CVS app or website, their cashback and coupons. First make sure you have an extra care account and number. You can then go online to CVS and click the coupons you want, or download the app and click. (the app is easier but I know some of you don’t like apps). Then enter your phone number at checkout and get your coupons and cashback. Split your transactions up so you can use some of the cash back immediately.

Right now Colgate toothpaste is 2 for 7.98. The app has a coupon for $3 off 2, and they have a $5 Extra Rewards Bucks that you get back, so basically they pay you .01 to take home two tubes of toothpaste!

The shampoo deal requires a paper coupon. Every week I get grocery flyers and a small coupon mailer. Recently there was a coupon for buy one/ get one free on Love Beauty and Planet products. I purchased two shampoos at 7.99 each, used my $5 Extra Bucks from last transaction, plus the coupon to take 7.99 off. I paid $3 and then got $10 extra rewards bucks back, so technically they paid me $2.00 to purchase the shampoo. I used the $10 on items I needed around the house and snacks – they always have nuts and pantry items on sale and great prices.

I have not paid for toothpaste in years, but have been getting it free from CVS. If you are not doing this…it is like throwing money away!

If you enjoy trying new beauty products but don’t want to pay full price for items you’re not sure you’ll love, I found a great deal on Allure Beauty Box subscriptions. You can get your first box for just $10 shipped with code HEART. If you go to the Rakuten website first, and then to allure, Rakuten will give you $5 cash back.

First, head over to Rakuten and set up your account. You will get $30 cash when you spend $30 shopping at any of the many stores on the Rakuten site. Then (or if you already have an account) search for Allure Beauty Box and from Rakuten go to the Allure site. Sign up for the $23 subscription, use the promo code HEART and pay $10. Rakuten should send you an email saying you will receive $5 cash back from the purchase. (Make sure you cancel the subscription before 30 days unless you love the box so much you want to keep getting more! I put the reminder on my google calendar so I never forget)

What does this mean? My family, especially the kids, will be getting gifts from Target, Walgreens, Bed Bath Beyond, CVS and similar stores next year.

Not all of these are actually Christmas in theme so I can use them throughout the year as gift. I have a shelf in my closet I dedicate to future gifts so these all go there.

Right now Walgreen’s is selling their toys and gift for 80% off. I have hit three different stores already as each has a different selection. I have action figures, games, Pez, socks, stocking stuffers and various other fun gift items. I also picked up some gift bags for next year. Why pay full price – I know I will need them.

I currently receive over a dozen magazines each month…and I don’t pay for any of them! Honestly, I can’t really read this many magazines but they are free!  I look through them and then post them on Ebay. So not only do I receive free magazines, I actually make a couple of dollars on them when I am done! You can also donate these to a nursing home or charity.

So how can you get free magazines?  There are several sites that offer free subscriptions.  Once you are on their mailing list you will receive future offers for more free magazines. All it takes is a few answers to some questions, usually about your business. No credit card ever needed!

Value Mags offers free magazine subscriptions – no strings attached. Answer a few questions to get your first magazine subscription instantly! Each answered question earns you points, spend those points on magazines of your choice. The more surveys you take, the more points you earn, the more magazines you can get. An example of the magazines offered today: Popular Mechanics, Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping.

The other is Mercury Magazines.  This site offers free magazines on a regular basis but also features business magazines and is geared towards businesses.  It will ask you about information on your business and you may have to answer some questions about your business.  If you don’t have a business, create one…at least for this site!  The current magazine offered is Outside but they will email you with new ones fairly regularly.

FreeBizMag offers more business oriented magazines but will also offer nonbusiness free subscription or sweepstakes. You must answer a few questions about your business – be creative.

*How to sell Magazines on Ebay: I usually group three or four issues together when I post on Ebay for $4.99 shipping in a priority flat rate envelope.  You can print the postage on Ebay, tape to the priority mailer, and place it in your mailbox.  Super easy to do.
